About Hunting

Hunting explicitly for sport had been a noble, and especially a royal, prerogative since ancient times. It was considered an important test of bravery and skill with arms that would carry over into battle. The early modern era continued practices that had been prevalent in the Middle Ages.
A literature of forest management arose alongside the literature on the aristocratic virtues of hunting. Licensed hunting is only allowed in Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve in Nepal. It established in 1987 covering an area of 1,325 sq. km (512 sq mi) in a altitud from 2,850 to 5,500 m. It is located in the Dhaulagiri Himal of western Nepal in the Rukum, Myagdi and Baglung Districts.

We provide you Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve & many more places for hunt. Dhorpatan cover an area of 1.325 square km, lies in western part of Nepal in Dhaulagiri Himal range. You can hunt Leopard, Goral, Himalayan Black Deer, Barking Deer etc. and 137 birds including koklass pheasant, cheer pheasant and impeyan pheasant; and two herpeto species. One of the prime attractions for hunters is the blue sheep, which is abundant in the region

Day 01 : Arrive at Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel, explain briefly the program by tour guide- overnight at hotel
Day 02 : Visit cultural world heritage sites: Pashpatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square & Shyambhunath Stupa- overnight at Hotel.
Day 03 :  Complete the government formalities, hunting preparation & leave to Dhorpatan via drive or chartered craft.
Day 04-05: Trekking to Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve overnight Camping Full Board Basis.-after reaching Dhorpatan meet local hunting Guide, Supporting Staff, Department of National Park liaison Officers.
Day 06-10: Blue sheep Hunting Period Overnight Camping Full Board Basis.
Day 11-14: Himalayan Tahr Hunting Period overnight Camping Full Board Basis.
Day 15-17: Trekking to Dovan or Burtibang overnight Camping Full Board Basis.
Day 18: Drive to Kathmandu Overnight Hotel BB Basis.
Day 19: Kathmandu, documentation preparation for trophy export, overnight Hotel
Day 20: Final Departure for your onward journey.
